Radcliffe Appoints New Coordinator for Graduate
Consortium In Women's Studies
Laura Roskos, an educator and administrator at the University of Wisconsin,
Milwaukee, has been appointed the coordinator for the Graduate Consortium
in Women's Studies at Radcliffe College.
An instructor in the Departments of English and Women's Studies since
1992, Roskos also served as an associate researcher in the university's
Center for Urban Initiatives and Research. In addition to her teaching duties,
she has experience in planning conferences and serving as a curriculum consultant
to a 14-campus consortium in women's studies.
"Laura Roskos brings impressive credentials to her new position
here at Radcliffe," said Tamar March, Dean of Radcliffe Educational
Programs. "Her expertise and accomplishments in women's studies will
be invaluable in advancing scholarship through the Graduate Consortium."
Roskos earned her undergraduate, master's, and doctoral degrees from
the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. She received the Peltz Award for
Excellence from the Department of Philosophy while pursuing her master's
degree.
Founded in 1992 at Radcliffe College, the Graduate Consortium in Women's
Studies is a collaborative effort among seven academic institutions in the
Boston area, including Boston College, Brandeis University, Harvard Divinity
School, Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, Harvard Graduate School
of Education, M.I.T., Northeastern University, and Tufts University. The
consortium sponsors programs, panels, and interdisciplinary team-taught
graduate courses that explore feminist thinking and scholarship.
