Dept. of Athletics Locker and Towel Policy

Lockers

The locker fee for the 1998-99 academic year is $30. Cash or checks made payable to Harvard University are acceptable forms of payment. Locker fees cannot be term billed. Lockers are available only to those individuals with both a valid Harvard I.D. and a participation sticker.

Reserved lockers for the Malkin Athletic Center (men and women) and Hemenway Gymnasium (men and women) may be purchased at the Malkin Athletic Center on Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. After that date, any remaining lockers may be purchased in the Athletic Ticket Office located in the Murr Center from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Reserved lockers at Blodgett Pool (men and women) and Gordon Track & Tennis Center (women only) may be purchased at the Athletic Ticket Office beginning Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Transient lockers are available at all facilities at no charge; however, transient locker users must clear the lockers and remove the locks each night.

 

Towels

Towel service is available at Blodgett Pool, the Malkin Athletic Center, Hemenway Gymnasium, and Weld Boathouse. Participants interested in this service must purchase a towel sticker for his/her Harvard I.D. card. The fee is $34 for the 1998-99 academic year. Towel stickers will be sold at all locker sales locations listed above.

 

Nautilus Certification Requirements

Nautilus equipment is available at both the Malkin Athletic Center and Gordon Track & Tennis Center. Use of Nautilus requires certification by a Harvard instructor. Registration for free certification classes during the fall term occurs on Wednesday, Sept. 23, at the front desk of the Malkin Athletic Center. You must sign up in person. If you miss this date, you may register for any remaining classes at the Malkin Athletic Center beginning in October.
