AIDS Walk sponsorship available

For the eleventh consecutive year, the Office of Government, Community and Public Affairs will contribute 50 cents for each kilometer walked during the 10K AIDS Walk Boston on Sunday, June 7.

Alternative career workshops offered for GSAS students

A mini-workshop called "Exploring Alternative Careers" will be held Friday, June 10, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Thursday, July 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Office of Career Services' Conference Room for students at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. The program will emphasize the process of self-assessment and exploration of nonacademic career alternatives.

In addition, a five-week workshop called "Alternative Careers for Ph.D.s" may be offered during June and July if there is sufficient interest. The probable schedule will be Wednesdays, June 17 to July 22, 10 a.m. to noon. The program will focus on self-assessment, career identification and exploration, networking, and conducting a job search.

Institute for Advanced Theatre Training to hold final production of season

The American Repertory Theatre's Institute for Advanced Theatre Training will present its last production of the season next week. Women Beware Women, written by Thomas Middleton and directed by Brian Jucha, will be staged at the Zero Church Street Performance Space May 28, 29, 30, 31 and June 2, 3, 4, at 7:30 p.m. and May 31 and June 3 at 1:30 p.m.

Described as a fairytale of promise and happiness that descends to a world of lust, greed, violence, and moral decay, the story of Women Beware Women begins when a beautiful Venetian noblewoman elopes with a lowly shipping clerk and makes a daring escape to Florence.

Ticket prices are $10 for the general public; $8 for ART subscribers; and $5 for students and seniors. For tickets, visit the Loeb Drama Center or call the ART Box Office at 547-8300.

Poetry reading to be held by Committee on Concerns of Women

A poetry reading and complimentary luncheon will be held today by the Committee on the Concerns of Women at Harvard/Radcliffe from noon to 1 p.m. at the Lyman Common Room, Agassiz House.
