NOTICE to Graduating Seniors
Harvard College seniors have the opportunity to notify their hometown
newspapers about their graduation through a service of the Harvard Office
of News and Public Affairs.
All graduating seniors are encouraged to fill out the electronic press
release form on the News Office Web page at http://www.news.harvard.edu/hometown.
The News Office will take the information entered and use it to send
formal press releases to newspapers across the United States. Parents will
also receive copies of the release. The releases will be sent out in the
weeks after the June 4 Commencement, and will include information about
Latin honors.
Alex Huppé, director of public affairs, recommends listing smaller
community papers, rather than major dailies, for the best results. The News
Office would also like to have copies of any newspaper clips that appear
in hometown papers.
If you have any questions, call the News Office at 495-1585.
