Lunchtime Talks to be Held by Shorenstein Center
This month's brown-bag lunchtime lecture series at the Joan Shorenstein
Center on the Press, Politics and Public Policy includes talks by celebrity
biographer Kitty Kelley and Newsweek investigative reporter Michael
Isikoff.
The schedule is as follows:
Friday, April 10: "The Future of Progressive Politics."
Stanley Greenberg, chairman of Greenberg Research and former polling adviser
to President Bill Clinton. 12 noon, 5th floor Dining Room, Taubman Building.
Tuesday, April 14: "Private Lives of Public Officials: Fair
Game for the Press?" Kitty Kelley, author of The Royals, Nancy Reagan:
The Unauthorized Biography, and His Way: The Unauthorized
Biography of Frank Sinatra. 12 noon, Malkin Penthouse.
Tuesday, April 21: "Anatomy of an Investigative Story."
Michael Isikoff, investigative reporter for Newsweek magazine and
news analyst for MSNBC. 12 noon, Room 275, Taubman Building.
Friday, April 24: "Did the Media Bury the Message of Martin
Luther King?" Bonnie Boswell and Jim Lawson, cohosts of the national
cable television talk show Lawson Live. 12 noon, Room 275, Taubman
Building.
Tuesday, April 28: "The Press and International Relations."
Hilary Bowker, senior CNN European correspondent. 12 noon, Room 275, Taubman
Building.
Wednesday, April 29: Richard Holbrooke, former ambassador and
assistant secretary of state. Talk to be announced. 11:30 a.m., Malkin Penthouse.
The talks are held at the Kennedy School of Government and are free and
open to the public.
