Former Rep. Pat Schroeder to Speak
Pat Schroeder, former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, will
speak about her life in politics and her new book in Askwith Lecture Hall,
Longfellow Hall, on Friday, April 17, at 6 p.m.
Schroeder will also sign copies of her new book, 24 Years of House
Work . . . and the Place Is Still a Mess (Andrews McMeel Publishing,
1998), an autobiography to be released this month, at a reception following
the event in the Eliot-Lyman Room. Her visit is sponsored by the Radcliffe
College Alumnae Association, the Radcliffe Publishing Course, and the Institute
for Civil Society, in Newton.
Schroeder, who served as a U.S. representative from Colorado for 24 years,
is now the president of the Association of American Publishers and chair
of the New Century, New Solutions think tank at the Institute for Civil
Society.
Longfellow Hall is on Appian Way.
