Kadison Named Chief of UHS Mental Health Services
Richard Kadison became chief of Mental Health Services at University
Health Services (UHS), as of Jan. 1.
Randolph Catlin, who currently is head of Mental Health Services, will
retire this June. He will remain on staff until then to assure a smooth
transition, according to David Rosenthal, director of UHS.
Kadison joined UHS in 1994. Previous to his work here, he was staff psychiatrist
at Wellesley, Pine Manor, and Mt. Ida colleges. He served as director of
Adolescent Services at Charles River Hospital and also set up eating disorder
programs at five New England Hospitals.
Kadison received his M.D. from Loyola Medical School. He completed his
medical training at Boston University and served as a child psychiatry fellow
at McLean Hospital. Kadison is Board-certifed in both child and adult psychiatry.
