President to hold office hours for students President Rudenstine will hold office hours for students in his Massachusetts Hall office at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 3. Students hours are held on a first-come, first-served basis. SPH to hold Career Day The School of Public Health will sponsor its 10th annual Career Day on Friday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at the François-Xavier Bagnoud Building, 651 Huntington Ave., Boston. Career Day is designed to provide students with information about public health employment opportunities in a wide range of organizations, including state and federal agencies, international and environmental organizations, consulting and research companies, and hospitals and HMOs. A lunch-hour program, starting at 12:30 p.m., has been planned, featuring a panel of SPH alumni/ae who will address the topic of "Leadership Skills." The speakers will describe their public health career paths and skills necessary to manage change. Research travel grants offered by Davis Center for Russian Studies Travel grants for graduate students for the purpose of conducting research in the former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe are available from the Davis Center for Russian Studies. Harvard Ph.D. candidates and A.M. students in the Program in Regional Studies: Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia are eligible to apply. Grants for ARTS FIRST projects available Grants for projects to take place during ARTS FIRST '98 are available from the Office for the Arts to undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, and staff for projects that encourage students' own original, creative work, or work showing an original, creative approach to artistic traditions that combine high artistic merit, originality, experimentation, and educational benefit to undergraduates. The grants range from $50 to $1,000. Applications are available at the Office for the Arts, 74 Mt. Auburn St. The deadline is Feb. 4.
