Memorial Services
The ashes of Nathan Irvin Huggins will be interred at Harvard Hill in Watertown's Mt. Auburn Cemetery at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, June 3. There will be no ceremony, but members of the Harvard community are invited to attend the interment. Until his death in December 1989, Huggins was the W. E. B. Du Bois Professor of History and of Afro-American Studies as well as director of the W. E. B. Du Bois Institute for Afro-American Research. A memorial service will be held for Susan M. Haskins, former librarian at the College Library, at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, at Payson Park Church, Belmont. She died April 10.
