New England College Creates Endowed Fund in Honor of Radcliffe Dean Tamar March
New England College, in Henniker, N.H., has established an endowed faculty development fund in honor of Tamar March, who, prior to her current position as dean of Radcliffe Educational Programs and director of Radcliffe Undergraduate Programs, served New England College as vice president for academic affairs and dean of the faculty from 1991 to 1996. The Tamar K. March Development Fund, donated by the board of trustees at New England College in October 1996, will support New England College faculty participation at professional conferences related to their individual disciplines. March is being honored by New England College for her strong commitment to continued professional development for faculty across the disciplines. She has also made lasting contributions to the curriculum by initiating a unique honors program, by reshaping the College's general education program, by establishing a women's studies minor, and by tirelessly working on affirming the international mission of the College.
