The Faculty Council, at its sixteenth meeting of the year, met with Professor Sidney Verba (Government), chair of the Core Review Committee, to continue its discussion of the tentative recommendations for the Committee's Working Paper.

The Council also met with Professor Ioli Kalavrezou (Fine Arts) to discuss a proposal to change the name of the Department of Fine Arts, and heard a suggestion from Professor William Paul (DEAS and Physics) that the Council address matters of budget and compensation at a future meeting.

The next Faculty Meeting occurs on Tuesday, May 6. The deadline for motions for the May 20 Faculty Meeting is 9:30 on Monday, May 5, and the deadline for amendments is 12 noon on Monday, May 12.
