A memorial service for Garrett Birkhoff, George Lowell Putnam Professor of Mathematics, will be held on Thursday, March 20, at 12 noon at Friends Meeting House at Cambridge, 5 Longfellow Park. Friends, colleagues, and the Birkhoff family will gather for lunch in the Friends Room at noon; the Memorial Meeting will be held in the Friends Meeting House at 1 p.m.
