The Faculty Council, at its twelfth meeting of the year, met with members of the Core Review Committee to discuss the Committee's Working Paper, prepared for circulation to the Faculty. The members of the Committee who met with the Council included: Benedict Gross (Mathematics), Mr. Justin Label, '98, Professor Helen Vendler (English) and Professor Sidney Verba (Government), chair. Also meeting with the Council was the Director of the Core Program, Ms. Susan W. Lewis.

The Council also continued its review of the discussion paper, "Junior Faculty Recruitment and Support," prepared for the Resources Committee, and the "Report on the Child Care Experiences and Needs of Junior Faculty," prepared by the Standing Committee on Women (both papers are on the agendafor the March Faculty Meeting).

The next Faculty Meeting is on March 11th. The Faculty Council next meets on March 19th.
