Actor Mel Gibson to Visit
Actor, producer, and director Mel Gibson will visit Harvard on Tuesday, Nov. 12. Gibson is scheduled to spend the morning with students from Learning from Performers, a program of the Office for the Arts at Harvard and Radcliffe that brings leading artists to the University to meet and work with undergraduates. He will spend the afternoon at the Graduate School of Education (GSE) with GSE graduate students from the Arts in Education concentration and drama students from the Boston and Cambridge public schools. Gibson will speak to the Harvard community at 5 p.m. in Sanders Theatre in a talk being cosponsored by the Harvard Education Forum and Learning from Performers. Tickets are required for this event, and will be allocated by lottery to Harvard students, faculty, and staff. Ticket lottery sign-up will be held on Friday, Nov. 1, and Monday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Gutman Library on Appian Way and at the Office for the Arts at 74 Mount Auburn St. Results of the lottery will be posted on Thursday, Nov. 7, and Friday, Nov. 8 at the same sites. Lottery winners will be able to pick up their tickets on those same dates at Sanders Theatre from 12 noon to 6 p.m. A Harvard ID will be required to pick up a ticket and only one ticket per person will be issued. Absolutely no tickets will be distributed after 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8.
