  Dinner to Honor Fred Glimp

Fred L. Glimp '50, PhD '64, has stepped down as vice president for alumni affairs and development to spend more time with alumni and friends in Cambridge and around the country, and take a little time for himself. Glimp, a former dean of admissions and financial aid, and dean of Harvard College, served as vice president for some 17 years. He has unmatched relationships with many of Harvard's alumni and friends. By giving up his administrative duties, he frees his schedule to visit with them and share news about the challenges facing Harvard.

In a broad realignment of responsibilities within the Alumni Affairs and Development office, Thomas M. Reardon, formerly associate vice president for development, assumed the vice president's post on July 1. He was replaced by former Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences for Development Susan K. Feagin. Her responsibilities have been assumed by Roger P. Cheever '67, MLA '77, who most recently served as deputy director of the Harvard College Fund and of Major Gifts.

A dinner will be held in Fred's honor in Cambridge on Nov. 2. If you are interested in attending, please contact Laura McLeod at 495-3747 or June Storey at 495-4665.
