  Radcliffe College Reunion Classes Raise Record Funds

Suzanne Young Murray '62, national cochair of The Campaign for Radcliffe, announced that Radcliffe College reunion classes donated more than $5.3 million dollars in gifts and pledges this year. The amount, which topped previous alumnae reunion giving, also broke all-time gift records for classes celebrating their 55th, 50th, 35th, and 30th reunions. Murray made the announcement at the annual meeting of the Radcliffe College Alumnae Association on June 6.

The record reunion giving enhances Radcliffe's campaign, which has already raised $52 million in gifts and pledges. The overall goal is $100 million by June 2000.

The specific class gifts follow:

* The Class of 1942 raised $2,144,620 with 60 percent participation;

* The Class of 1947 raised $1,255,972 with 71 percent participation;

* The Class of 1962 raised $757,681 with 52 percent participation; and

* The Class of 1967 raised $175,251 with 55 percent participation.

The two major goals of the campaign are to enhance the College's work through greater engagement with its students, alumnae, friends, and leaders, and to raise $100 million in new resources to support an ambitious agenda throughout the College in education, research, and policy programs.
