NCAA Tennis Field Set
The field for the NCAA Championships in men's tennis has been set, with
four teams slated to participate next weekend at Harvard University's Beren
Tennis Center.
The Crimson drew the second seed in the regional, behind top seed Florida.
Virginia Tech is third, while Princeton rounds out the field as the fourth
seed.
Florida, ranked 12th nationally, meets Princeton, ranked 50th, in the first
semifinal, Saturday, May 11, at 9 a.m. Harvard, ranked 22nd, takes on unranked
Virginia Tech in the second semifinal at 1:30 p.m. The championship match
will be Sunday, May 12, at 1 p.m.
There are eight regionals throughout the nation next weekend. The eight
winners will advance to the round of 16 at the University of Georgia, beginning
May 18.
This is the second time in three years that Harvard has hosted the Region
I Tournament. Princeton won that event at Beren Tennis Center in 1994.
NCAA CHAMPIONSHIPS-REGION I: Saturday, May 11 #1 Florida vs. #4 Princeton,
9 a.m. #2 Harvard vs. #3 Virginia Tech, 1:30 p.m. Sunday, May 12 Championship,
1 p.m. All matches at Beren Tennis Center (rain site: Palmer Dixon Courts).

Daily admission (including complimentary souvenir program) is $4 adults
and $2 students/children.
