Faculty Council Discusses Magazine's Role, Students
on Public Service Committee
John Rosenberg, editor of Harvard Magazine, and Professors Jan Ziolkowski
and Theda Skocpol, directors of the magazine, discussed with the Faculty
Council the role of the magazine in the University community and some recent
innovations in its content and style.
The Council also met with representatives of the Undergraduate Council to
discuss the student membership of the recently created Standing Committee
on Public Service.
Further, Dean of Undergraduate Education Lawrence Buell briefed the Council
on recent discussions in the Committee on Undergraduate Education concerning
ethnic studies.
Finally, Dean Jeremy R. Knowles reviewed with the Council recent discussions
concerning the renovations of the Harvard Union now under way.
